2012 has been a year for celebration. My friends' and my University graduation. The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The
success of the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. But there is a slightly
less well known reason to celebrate nearly upon us: the completion of my first
cinematic millennia. That is, if my calculations are correct (and they rarely
are not) then I am fast approaching having seen my thousandth feature film. How
exciting!
To celebrate this somewhat one-off
occasion (until the day comes for me to post a blog with a witty title along the lines of 2001 Cinematic Odysseys), I thought I’d publish a list of my favourite 100 films. That is not
to say they are what I think are the best
or greatest movies, simply the ones I
like the most. Please note, they are listed in alphabetical order; there is no
further ranking to this list.
